Three ladies show off carpentry skills

By Joyce Ervin

Three Saline ladies, Cheryl Girvan, Lisa Rentschler and Lisa Endres, armed with hammers, saws, drills and paints created wood décor pieces for their homes at the recently opened Board & Brush Creative Studio in Northville.
Showing off her carpentry skills, Rentschler created a wooden ‘thankful’ sign that fit in nicely with Thanksgiving décor but can be appreciated all year long. It read, “Eat, drink and be thankful”.
The studio preps the materials to be used and furnishes the tools and paints.  They guide you through the entire creative process from raw wood materials to building the final product, which Rentschler said was lots of fun.
The Northville location is a BYOW or bring your own wine establishment. Amidst all the boards, brushes and tools stood a bottle of white wine the ladies brought and enjoyed from the local Spotted Dog Winery.
Not your typical girl’s night out, but lots of fun.
