Craft show draws in crowd

By Saline Eagle Media

Driving north from Michigan Avenue it wasn’t long before one noticed the droves of people walking along the street. They seemed to be coming from every direction heading to the school. Many parked and came on the free shuttle. There was a line of cars searching for a parking spot as shoppers, carrying bags of newly purchased items, exited the building and were returning to their cars. Over 250 craft booths filled the Saline Middle School on N. Maple Saturday, November 14. There seemed to be something for everyone at the Saline Craft Show. No wonder it’s considered one of the top shows in Michigan.
Excited shoppers went from booth to booth, sometimes trying on a coat or a hat, while others checked out the jewelry, pottery, Christmas decorations and hundreds of other items all on display.
Strolling from room to room and through the hallways it was festive listening to the Saline High School Choir sing and smelling the scent of almonds. A bake sale and concessions were available for those needing to rest before going down that next aisle.
Mark your calendar the Spring Craft Show will be March 12, 2016.
